Abstract

In our inaugural issue of the Middle East Journal of Positive Psychology (MEJPP), we launched a call for the development of an indigenous positive psychology in the UAE and across the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region (Lambert, Pasha-Zaidi, Passmore, & York Al-Karam, 2015) for a variety of reasons that remain valid today. While we have seen tremendous strides towards this endeavor, we wanted to explore what was not yet being done and currently ripe for researchers and practitioners alike to undertake and in this issue, we explore those very ideas, views and thoughts about the development of a regional positive psychology.
